BAUM UND PFERDGARTEN was established in Copenhagen in 1999 by Rikke Baumgarten & Helle Hestehave,
who had just graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Design,
where they had started their creative partnership.
They created the brand name as a humorous interplay between their surnames,
and it reflects the dualistic playfulness, which is also echoed in their design.
Ever since the beginning, our two Creative Directors have been constantly complementing
and challenging each-other in creating collections filled with clashing contrasts,
strong colours and memorable prints as the fundamental design DNA.
Through the years, their creations have been exhibited in various cities
and received several awards as a sign of recognition -
and today our collections are available all over the world.
